Guide Michelin 2017 Germany

Update: All the news about the current Michelin stars 2020

There is an update to this post with the 308 Michelin stars for 2020.The Michelin Guide for 2017 is, as always, an important barometer for gastronomy in Germany. All current star restaurants and new additions can be found in this overview.

Attention: The new Guide Michelin 2019 with all starred restaurants for the current year will be published on 26.02. 2019. All info here.

First things first: there is no change in the category of restaurants awarded three stars by the Guide Michelin. It remains at ten houses.

There are three new additions to the list of restaurants with two Michelin stars: Geisel’s Werneckhof in Munich, the Opus V restaurant in Mannheim, and in the capital, the Rutz will in future bear the second star.

I am particularly pleased about three new entries in the category of one-star restaurants: At noon, we had lunch at einsunternull – and even before dessert, we were able to toast to the great award with Ivo Ebert. Sosein in Heroldsberg is also a new star. And, virtually on my doorstep, the well-deserved first star at Boris Kasprik’s Petit Amour in Hamburg’s Ottensen district will also be shining in the future.

In total, the 2017 Michelin Guide for Germany now includes 292 Michelin-starred restaurants, including 243 restaurants with one star (+28), 39 restaurants with two stars (+3) and 10 restaurants with three Michelin stars. This is a new high and a 17% increase from 5 years ago.TEASER Newsletter
