Barely a week until the first Advent, so it’s high time to slowly get into the Christmas spirit. Fortunately, you don’t have to start Last Christmas right away; the new Foodist Christmas box can also convey a subtle sense of anticipation.
The December edition of the box is for the first time a cooperation between Foodist and HelloFresh. The latter usually deliver fresh groceries, complete with coordinated recipe, to the home of Kochbox subscribers on a weekly basis.
Included in the set this time: The Gourmet Popcorn Mince Pie with the flavor of sweet Christmas cookies and the Very Naughty Nutty Nougat chocolate bar, where soft, nougat meets creamy caramel and crunchy nuts. Ideal for pre-Christmas cooking, there is also the fruity Wild Cranberry Confit and the coarsely crushed spice blend of nine different peppers from Ankerkraut, which are very close to my heart anyway. Very nice looks the bottle of hot deer, a mulled wine made from fruity and strong organic Merlot wine and high quality and 100% natural organic spice extracts. The aromas of cinnamon, cloves, star anise, allspice, coriander, orange and lemon blend with the wine to create a wonderfully Christmassy combination with its 12.5% alcohol content.
The box also contains six cookie varieties from the small cookie manufacturer Knusperreich. And those who like healthy snacks can enjoy crunchy cashews refined with mango pieces and delicious vanilla. HelloFresh has further filled the box with an apron, a spatula and numerous recipes for the Christmas season.
