Not far from my old, East-Westphalian roots, Thomas Bühner has cooked his way from star to star in recent years. My first (and unfortunately to date only) visit to La Vie was in November 2009 at the invitation of very valued business friends. In the meantime, La Vie has famously added another star.
Not knowing that this visit will also end in a cooking friends post, I did not note the menu sequence or the details in detail. Very well I have saved that we have experienced a fantastic evening, both at the bar and in the lounge of La Vie were taken care of with excellent, personal and very knowledgeable service and enjoyed a fantastic menu sequence.
Our host, together with us, gave himself completely into the hands of Thomas Bühner, who conjured up a menu under the motto Courage & Trust.
