Opinionated About Dining“ hat sein aktuelles Ranking der besten Restaurants in Europa veröffentlicht. Mit dem Münchner „JAN“ von Dreisternekoch Jan Hartwig schafft erstmals ein Restaurant in Deutschland den Sprung in die Top 3. Der Spitzenplatz geht wie im Vorjahr nach Dänemark ans „Alchemist“, gefolgt vom baskischen „Asador Etxebarri“ auf Platz 2. Als landesbeste Gourmetadresse in der Schweiz wird das „Schloss Schauenstein“ auf Platz 6 und in Österreich das Wiener „Steirereck“ auf Rang 40 gelistet.
Das Restaurantportal Opinionated About Dining (OAD) hat die neuen Ergebnisse seiner Bewertungsumfrage zu den „Top100+ European Restaurants 2023“ in Madrid vorgestellt. Zum 10-jährigen Jubiläum der Bestenliste vereinte Gründer Steve Plotnicki hochdekorierte Chefs, Preisträger und Feinschmecker für ein 10-Gang-Gala-Menü im „Desde 1911“, welches im Vorjahr zur besten Neueröffnung gewählt wurde. Als eine der international relevanten Quellen für Restaurant-Rankings wählte die aus registrierten Gästen und Food-Bloggern bestehende OAD-Community ihre europaweiten Favoriten im Genre „Zeitgenössische Küche“.
Platz 3 erstmals in Deutschland
Das Münchner „JAN“ verbessert sich als „biggest mover“ von Platz 133 auf Platz 3. Kein Restaurant in Deutschland war in der elfjährigen Geschichte des OAD-Rankings bisher höher platziert. „Unsere Community ist begeistert vom JAN und der beeindruckende Erfolg von Jan Hartwig unterstreicht auch Münchens aktuell bedeutende Rolle in der internationalen Gourmetszene“, kommentiert Steve Plotnicki, Gründer von OAD und OAD Travel. Erst im Vorjahr wurde das Restaurant als beste Neueröffnung in Europa geehrt. Entsprechend unerwartet kam die Auszeichnung für Drei-Sterne-Koch Jan Hartwig: “Ich bin überwältigt und sehr glücklich über diesen tollen Zuspruch. Mein Dank geht an die vielen Voter und Gäste, die aus der ganzen Welt zu uns nach München reisen. Für mein Team und mich ist die starke Platzierung bei OAD eine unglaubliche Motivation.“
Die Top 5 2024
Angeführt wird das Ranking zum vierten Mal in Folge vom Kopenhagener Restaurant „Alchemist“. Rasmus Munks aufwendig inszenierte, kreative Küche hat die internationale Jury einmal mehr überzeugt. „OADs Rezensenten kehren immer wieder zurück, um Rasmus Munks allumfassendes Alchemist zu erleben. Dies ist ein großer Beweis sowohl für Munks Können und Kreativität als Koch als auch für die pure Freude, die sein Manifest der ganzheitlichen Küche allen Besuchern bringt“, so Plotnicki. Das „Alchemist“ stellt durch die Verschmelzung von Gastronomie, Theater und Kunst die konventionelle Definition eines Restaurants in Frage. Das Erlebnis wird durch einen Gastraum verstärkt, in dem Gäste zu kunstvollen Projektionen rund 45 essbare Eindrücke unter einer gigantischen Planetariumskuppel serviert bekommen.
Die Spitzenplätze in der DACH-Region
Mit Platz 16 verabschiedet sich das nur noch bis Ende 2024 geöffnete „Ernst“ in Berlin von Dylan Watson-Brawn in diesem Jahr aus der Liste (23/2023). Für Deutschland weiterhin konstant vertreten ist das „Vendôme“ von Joachim Wissler in Bergisch-Gladbach auf Platz 47 (46/2023) sowie das „Essigbrätlein“ von Yves Ollech und Andree Köthe in Nürnberg auf Platz 64 (49/2023).
In der Schweiz hält sich das „Schloss Schauenstein“ von Marcel Skibba und Andreas Caminada wie im Vorjahr auf Platz 6, gefolgt von Sven Wassmers „Memories“ in Bad Ragaz, welches 2024 auf Platz 12 vorrückt (50/2023).
Österreichs bestplatziertes Restaurant bleibt das Wiener „Steirereck“ von Birgit und Heinz Reitbauer auf Rang 40 (39/2023), während sich das Restaurant „Amador“ in Wien auf Platz 62 (67/2023) verbessert.
Aus Hamburger Sicht ist die Platzierung des Bianc in der Hafencity besonders erfreulich, genau wie eine Listung des Restaurants 100/200 (Platz 235). The Table by Kevin Fehling findet sich auf dem Platz 336, das Lakeside Restaurants rangiert auf der 457.
