Yesterday was published the latest list of the best restaurants in Europe according to the ranking of Opinionated About Dining. As a location for the gala organizer and culinary mastermind Steve Plotnicki has chosen the tickets of Ferran and Albert Adriá in Barcelona.
A perfect choice in more ways than one. Not only because it had been on my wish list for a long time anyway, but especially because it also provided an ideal stage for the evening’s guest chefs with its many open small kitchens and stations. Because in addition to the team around Albert Adriá, Bjorn Frantzen, Elena Arzak, Kobe Desramaults, Quique Dacosta and Tim Raue also served small delicacies for the guests last night.

The concept of the Michelin starred ticket is great. Of course, you only get a first impression during such an event. But it’s certainly worth planning another visit in the future, when the focus will be much more on the many small tapas. For hours you can watch the hustle and bustle at the many small open kitchens and stations, try something here and there and watch how the small delicacies are created. Great food of excellent quality in a casual and pleasant setting. No wonder the tickets are regularly booked out weeks and months in advance.

OAD’s rating is based on the votes of around 4,000 foodies worldwide who record their restaurant visits in the members’ area and thus contribute to the global ranking.
