The first pictures show the ambitious plans of the luxury hotel chain: the first of the three luxurious yachts is to set sail as early as 2019. Far from the industry trend, the ships in the Ritz Carlton line will be very compact. A maximum of 298 passengers can be accommodated in the 149 balcony suites on board.
The two largest suites are generously sized at almost 140 square meters. What they all have in common is exclusive furnishings and a modern, clear interior design with high-quality products.
On the gastronomic front, the ships feature, among other things, a restaurant by Sven Elverfeld, who is responsible for the three Michelin-starred Aqua restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Wolfsburg. In addition, the luxurious yachts house a Signature Ritz-Carlton Spa, as well as a Panorama Lounge and Wine Bar offering a variety of on-board entertainment.
The cruise itineraries feature seven- to 10-day voyages to select locations. The first ship will call at a varied range of ports in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America, depending on the season. Thanks to its size, the yacht also navigates to places inaccessible to large cruise ships, from Capri to Portofino and St. Barths to the ancient city of Cartagena. The ports are visited both during the day and at night. Guests thus have a tailor-made and stress-free experience at their destinations.
Reservations will be possible from May 2018. The ships of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection are also available for private charter.
