No restaurant knows how to stage itself in the media as well as Noma. Time and again, the team around René Redzepi manages to develop new narratives that are taken out into the whole world. The Nrodic Cusine, which finds its roots not least in the Noma. The station in Tokyo. The planned temporary move to Sydney next year. And in the latest news, the move from Copenhagen Harbor to the more remote Christiania to be closer to the products.
Pierre Deschamps was fascinated by these stories and his protagonist. And he has managed to raise gelf for his project Noma – My Perfect Storm via the crowdfounding platform Indiegogo: A film that looks behind the scenes of Noma. The first official trailer is now available – and hopefully the film is about to have its international premiere. DVDs, bluerays and streaming offerings will be available shortly thereafter.
Over the last four years, Pierre was a witness to some of my happiest and most difficult professional moments. I am happy that “Noma My Perfect Storm” shows these in a way that is both honest and profound, I have never seen a film about a chef like this before.
